The Families First Coronavirus Response Act created new temporary paid sick leave and paid Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) programs. They are reimbursable by the federal government through payroll taxes.  Since payroll taxes are not assessed on H-2A workers, it is not clear whether reimbursement will be made available.  Agriculture groups are seeking clarity and equitable treatment.
