USApple is a member-driven association that represents the United States’ 26,000 apple growers, nearly 40 state and regional apple associations and more than 3,700 apple-related companies. The U.S grows more than 10 billion pounds of apples a year on average; the U.S. apple industry supports nearly 150,000 jobs, generating more than $8 billion in total wages, and is responsible for almost $23 billion in economic output.

Apple Industry

All firms that handle apples beyond growing, such as packers, shippers, sales agencies, brokers, retailers, importers, exporters, processors, etc. Dues rates are based on the volume of apples grown, packed, processed or sold annually.

Associate

Business/supplier engaged with the apple industry but not directly involved in the handling/marketing of apples. Examples include companies which deal in equipment, packaging, crop protection, financial services, nurseries and insurance.

Special

Organizations not directly involved in handling apples, such as trade associations, health and education organizations and institutions, and Chambers of Commerce and other business groups.

Academic/Government

Individuals associated with an educational institution or government agency.
