In March, apple industry leaders from across the country convened in Washington, D.C., for USApple’s Capitol Hill Day. Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) addressed attendees during breakfast before growers and industry representatives headed to Capitol Hill for more than 70 meetings with House and Senate offices.
Participants delivered a strong, unified message on priority issues, including the need for additional economic assistance, permanent agricultural labor reform, and the importance of extending the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
